One of the most special things about giving is knowing that it actually made a difference.

I have so many conversations every day with students, alumni, donors, and friends of JGO, and the truth is, when you show up for someone, you don’t always know or get to see the impact it has. That’s why our team at JGO works so hard not only to do the work, but to track it, measure it, and understand what we are actually accomplishing.

Every year after Rosh Hashanah, we share our annual Impact Report, and I’m incredibly proud to share this year’s with you.

Over the past 15 years, we have essentially built an entire Jewish communal world for grad students across North America. When we started, there was almost nothing specifically serving this community. Today, there are Jewish grad communities, student leaders, Shabbat dinners, programs, mentorship, Jewish learning, and thousands of students who know that wherever they are in grad school, there is a Jewish community behind them.

And none of that happens without you.

So please take a few minutes to look through the report and, as we like to say, shep some nachas (take pride and joy).

Whether you’ve supported us with your philanthropy, your time, your advice, your speaking or mentoring, or simply by believing in what we are building, I hope you’ll see your own impact reflected in these pages.

Thank you for being a part of this little world we’ve built together, and continue to build every day.

With much appreciation and Shana Tova,

Dave
