JGO's Miller Family Partners Summit, is the premier annual convention forJewish graduate student leaders.

Join incoming club leaders of Jewish graduate student associations at campuses across North America for an exclusive hotel getaway to Washington, DC! You'll meet other presidents and board members from our network of more than 150 JLSAs, JBSAs, and other grad associations from all over the continent.‍

FAQs
When does the Summit begin and end?
Check-in begins at 9am on September 14th. The Summit will wrap up at 2pm ET at September 15th.
Will there be accommodations for dietary restrictions?
Yes! All food + drink at Summit is certified Kosher in accordance to certifications approved by the CRC. Please let us know any dietary restrictions on the registration form.
Are Shabbat accommodations available in the area before the summit?
Yes! If you would like to celebrate Shabbat in the DC area, we can place you with a local family for free for both Friday + Saturday nights.
Is accommodation included during the conference?
Yes! Sunday night is 100% covered by JGO. We will arrange all reservations for Sunday.
Can I stay at Hotel Washington on Saturday, too?
Yes! Students arriving on Saturday can stay at Hotel Washington on Saturday and JGO will cover 50% of costs- coming to approx $75 each in a double occupancy room. Please let us know on the registration form if you'd like to be included in the room block for Saturday. Students can also arrange their own accommodation elsewhere.
When is the hotel check in / check out policy?
Check in: 4pm. Check out: 12pm.
Can a third member of our club join?
JGO would be happy to have a 3rd representative from your club join the Summit for all activities and meals! Each club will have a travel stipend of up to $600 per club ($500 if you register after July 1st)- you are welcome to split that amongst 3 attendees. JGO provides accommodations at Hotel Washington for up to 2 attendees per club, so any additional attendees will need to find their own accommodations in the DC area.
Will there be free time to explore the area?
The schedule is pretty packed! There is free time on Sunday evening during the optional outing or guests are invited to extend their stay after the Summit concludes Monday afternoon.
When is the optional advocacy opportunity Monday afternoon?
The optional advocacy opportunity will start at 1:00 p.m. on Monday afternoon and conclude by 5:00 p.m. (dinner will be included for those that join).
What will we be doing at the optional advocacy opportunity?
Students will be joining JGO staff and partners on Capitol Hill to share the grad student's experience with antisemitism. Every student will be trained and go into meetings in groups extremely prepared.
Who will we be rooming with?
All Summit participants will be staying in a double occupancy room at Hotel Washington, a beautiful 5 star hotel! You will have one roommate of the same gender. Feel free to make a roommate request on the registration form! If you don't request a specific same-gender roommate, you will be placed with a new friend of the same gender for the night. If you have any special accommodations or medical needs, please let us know on the registration form.
How much will we be reimbursed for travel?
Clubs that register for Summit before July 1st are eligible for reimbursement of up to $600 per club for travel
Clubs that register for Summit after July 1st are eligible for reimbursement of up to $500 per club for travel
How and when will we be reimbursed for travel?
Reimbursement will be sent via Paypal/Zelle/Check following attendance at Summit. You can note your preferred method on the reimbursement form. You should recieve your reimbursement within 2 weeks following the Summit. Questions on reimbursements? Contact Elisabeth Grossman at egrossman@gojgo.org.
What should I pack?
  • Business attire for two days of the Summit (slacks, blazers, dresses, etc)
  • Two casual outfits for a night out / casual activites
  • Walking shoes and more formal shoes
  • Toiletries and personal items
  • Reusable water bottle
  • Laptop / phone/ chargers. Portable chargers are helpful!
  • Business cards if you use them
  • We will provide all meals and snacks but feel free to bring any additional snacks / drinks
  • Devote some space in your bag for Summit swag! We will have lots to give you.
What is the dress code?
Dress code for the conference portion of the Summit is business attire. Feel free to also bring more casual clothing for our night out + walk through DC + fun activities!
What can we expect the schedule to look like?
The schedule has trainings, workshops, interactive classes and lots of food – stay tuned for more details!
Where will our bags go while we wait for check in?
Upon arrival, the Hotel will have space set aside near the lobby for everyone's things to be stored safely until check-in later in the afternoon.
Can we check out late?
We won't know if we can offer late checkout until much closer to the Summit – stay tuned!
