I’m the Founder and Managing Principal of MZ Capital Partners, an INC 500 real estate private equity firm focused on acquiring, developing, and repositioning multifamily properties across the U.S. With a background in real estate, banking, and finance, I lead a team dedicated to creating value through innovative investment strategies and disciplined execution.
I’m honored to be a member of the Forbes Real Estate Council, and actively involved in key industry groups including YPO-Gold, the National Apartment Association, the National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC)—where I previously served on the Board—and the Urban Land Institute.
I graduated as a James Scholar from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and earned my law degree from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law. I’ve authored two best-selling real estate investment books published by Kaplan: Profit by Investing in Student Housing and Purchase, Rehab, and Reposition Commercial Investment Property.
Beyond business, I’m deeply committed to community service. I serve on the Board of Directors of the Crown Family Foundation and the Jewish United Fund (JUF)/Jewish Federation of Chicago, and am proud to have served as its Board Chair.
Under my leadership, MZ Capital Partners has received national honors including the NAIOP Multifamily Development of the Year and the Best Places to Work in Multifamily award by the National Apartment Association.
