
Iván Markman is a C-suite operator, investor, and advisor with over 20 years of experience scaling technology businesses and driving meaningful, sustainable growth. He has led transformations of companies and divisions into high-performance global organizations through a mission-driven, customer-centric approach.
Iván has deep experience working with private and nonprofit boards, contributing to growth strategy, mergers and acquisitions, fundraising, and strategic partnerships. He currently serves as an investor, advisor, and board member focused on B2B, data- and AI-driven SaaS companies across the climate, marketing, and education technology sectors.
Previously, Iván served as Chief Business Officer at Yahoo, where he led businesses representing the majority of the company’s global revenue and played a key role in the company’s turnaround and $5 billion acquisition by Apollo Global. He later served as a Strategic Advisor to Yahoo.
Prior to Yahoo, Iván was a special advisor to the CEO and Board of Directors at comScore, leading a significant turnaround focused on innovation, operational scale, and growth. He also served as General Manager of Neustar’s Marketing Services business following its $450 million acquisition of MarketShare, where he had been Chief Operating Officer. At MarketShare, Iván scaled the business globally, increasing its valuation 15× and contributing to two successful exits.
Earlier in his career, Iván held senior strategic and operational roles at Yahoo after joining through its acquisition of Overture. He began his career at Procter & Gamble in Argentina in sales, marketing, and talent roles.
Iván serves on the Board of Directors of the Alliance for SoCal Innovation and on the Board of the Center for Impact at the UCLA Anderson School of Management. He holds an MBA from UCLA Anderson and an MS in Finance and BA in Business from Universidad de San Andrés. He lives in California with his family and enjoys traveling, hiking, and DJing.
