Peter Steckelman leads and executes Tennis Channel's initiatives in tournament-rights licensing, intellectual property development and protection, entertainment, content distribution, digital initiatives, talent, live production, and dispute resolution as well as advertising, marketing and social media.

Steckelman prior experience included entertainment industry leaders Konami Digital Entertainment, Warner Bros., Mattel, Fox and Disney.  Prior to Tennis Channel, he worked in the interactive entertainment industry for Konami, overseeing the legal and business affairs group focusing on game development, production, distribution and marketing, as well as intellectual property protection, government affairs and industry litigation matters.  Steckelman's experience at Warner Bros. included building and leading a business and legal affairs team in film and television, concentrating on development, production, talent and distribution and synthesizing acquisition and distribution goals across multiple businesses and emerging media platforms.

Steckelman has been recognized by the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) as the 2022 Jonathan Silber Outstanding Member of the Year for his work on the ACC Sports & Entertainment Network and currently serves as Secretary for the ACC's Network Leadership Council. He has been featured in Vanguard Law Magazine in 2023 and 2019 as well as in the Los Angeles Daily Journal's Corporate Counsel Q&A in 2011.  He was also recognized as a Corporate Counsel Award Finalist in 2014 by the Los Angeles Business Journal as well as"Sports Counsel of the Year" in 2012 by the Association of Media and Entertainment Counsel (AMEC).

Actively engaged in the evolving legal landscape of entertainment and sports, Steckelman has spoken at a variety of industry gatherings across professional associations and academic institutions.  Steckelman has shared his expertise on such topics as sports media, leadership, dispute resolution, intellectual property, content distribution, the videogame industry, social media, digital media, and the FCC.

Steckelman earned his JD from New York Law School and his BA from Rutgers University.
