Eli Lehrer
EVP & Head of Programming; The History Channel at A+E Network

Eli Lehrer is Executive Vice President and Head of Programming, HISTORY, a role he assumed in 2017. He oversees the development, creation and execution of programming for HISTORY, which has included the Emmy-nominated Tulsa Burning: The 1921 Race Massacre and Grant, History's most-watched mini-series, and the upcoming The American Presidency with Bill Clinton and Leonardo Dicaprio-produced documentary Sitting Bull.

Lehrer joined HISTORY from MTV2 where he was Executive Vice President and headed up creative and business operations at the channel. Prior to that, Lehrer was Senior Vice President and Head of Non-Fiction Programming at Lifetime since 2013. In that role, he executive produced and developed hit series including The Rap GameTM, Bring It!, True Tori and the Little Women franchise, and oversaw Project Runway and assorted spin-offs.

Prior to joining Lifetime, Lehrer was Head of Development at Bravo, where he developed hits including Vanderpump Rules, Below Deck, Southern Charm, The Real Housewives of New Jersey, The Shahs of Sunset, The Millionaire Matchmaker and Watch What Happens: Live.

Lehrer also worked at Artists Management Group for Michael Ovitz and at ABC News for George Stephanopoulos. Lehrer earned a BA in American history from Columbia University. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife and their four children.
