Benita has over 25 years of experience in the nonprofit community as a grant maker, community planner and development director. Prior to co-founding LKM in 1998, she was the Director of Planning and Organizational Services at the Jewish Community Federation of the Greater East Bay. She currently serves as Treasurer and Director of Art & Remembrance; and is a member of the National Network of Consultants to Grant makers. Benita is a frequent speaker and workshop presenter on such topics as High Impact Family Philanthropy, Becoming an Effective Grant maker, and Finding Focus in Philanthropy. She holds an M.S. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from San Francisco State University.
